REVIEW

I was browsing through PlayStation Video app and saw this movie. I immediately played it's trailer and saw it to be something amazing so I rented it in HD from the PlayStation Store, watched it and was like "Oh My Freaking Gosh! This is absolutely AWESOME!". I never missed any scene. My eyes were glued to the TV like some obsessed freak on his prey. I'm not a fan of Knate Lee's stories but I decided to watch this movie anyway because of Halle Berry. She's talented and looks amazing even at age of 51.

Kidnap tells the story of a divorced woman(Karla Dyson) who is on the verge of a custody battle for her son(Frankie). She takes her son to a park but a phone call from her lawyer takes her concerntration off Frankie for some few seconds not knowing that it was going to pave way for hot pursuit throughout the City. Karla manages to catch a glimpse of the kidnappers and followed them leading to dangerous pursuit. 

I'm not the type that often yells when watching a movie but I did watching this. There were so many instances that she could have easily halted the pursuit like carefully ramming her car towards theirs but did nothing like that instead she followed them like a lost puppy. That was the only issue I had with the writer.

Storyline is captivating and full of suspense. At first, I actually thought Karla's husband was behind the kidnapping so as to make the court declare Karla unfit for sole custody but boy, I was wrong. I never got off my seat. I was so into the story I never did realise my stew was burning(haha). I had that exact same feeling I had when I watched "The Call" a while back.

This movie was done with very limited casts and entirely focused on four characters. Halle Berry is good at what she does. From a crying mom to a vengeful mom. Actors did pretty well. 

Kidnap is smashingly good with a very good leading cast(Halle Berry). I actually cried a bit though(haha). This is a movie worth watching with friends even though I did watch it alone via PlayStation Gaming System.

I give this movie 8/10
